This year, Inverness will hold its Independence Day festivities at Liberty and Wallace Brooks Park. The events will take place between 5 and 10 p.m. with food, fun, games for the kids and a fireworks display at dusk. If you don't get your fill of fun here in Inverness, you can venture over to Kings Bay in Crystal River on Saturday the 4th, where they will be holding similar activities throughout the day, topped off with another fireworks display at approximately 9 p.m. Enjoy yourselves, be careful and remember all of the men and women who have and still serve our country...giving us the many freedoms that we cherish and enjoy.
