Hello everyone,
I just bought a mobile home in Inverness last week, and I'll be making it my new home. I'm from Michigan. I'm not sure if I'm retired, unemployed, or self-employed, but I like to think self-employed. My main interest is playing music. I mostly sing and play harmonica, but I also play spoons, guitar, zydeco, cigar box guitar, and musical saw. I'm looking forward to exploring some of the activities unique to the area, such as hunting alligator.
I'm sure I'll see you all around.

Welcome To Citrus County Bruce,
I too am from Michigan; I grew up in the Gaylord area and spent much of my time in the Pigeon River Forest, hunting, fishing, etc. where in the state are you from? I believe that you'll find Inverness to be a great area to live, for many reasons. The city is nice, the people are very friendly and there is a good deal of state land for your recreation. You may want to check out the Mutual Mine area, the caverns off of Stage Coach Trail, perhaps the Chassahowitzka recreation area, or the manatee in Kings Bay. If you're thinking of fishing...well we have water all around us. Enjoy yourself, spend some time traveling around the county and stop in from time to time. Welcome neighbor.

Hi Bruce, I'm glad to hear that you're enjoying yourself so far. Hopefully you were able to partake in the Floral City Strawberry Festival earlier this month. Beginning on the 29th of March and running through the 3rd of April, Inverness will be hosting the Citrus County Fair; it is a good time and a great way to meet your new neighbors.
